The development of a new Procurement Target Operating Model for Dorset ICS presents the opportunity to build on the existing strong foundations within the three partner Trusts, creating a Procurement Shared Service that will generate substantial financial benefit whilst delivering significant service improvements for our stakeholders including clinicians, suppliers and patients.  This truly is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact, system-wide transformation project by restructuring resources from across the three Trusts into a new operating model. Through your knowledge and expertise, you will drive efficiencies of activity and develop a more strategic service in areas such as category management and contract management which will drive increased benefits across the Dorset healthcare landscape. 

For the appointed Provider Collaborative Procurement Director, the opportunity to implement the agreed Target Operating Model, develop the service and effectively engage key stakeholders through a period of substantial change will bring reward and challenge in equal measure.  As the Shared Service lead expert, you will provide expert strategic advice on all procurement and supply chain matters and lead on ensuring value for money for the goods and services that the three organisations procure.  It is a role which will require empathetic yet robust leadership, political acumen and commercial capabilities – the ability to navigate both opportunity and risk, and communicate on highly complex matters in difficult situations with conflicting priorities will be instrumental to your success.
