Are you a visionary procurement leader ready to drive transformation across the NHS in a region known for its stunning coastline, vibrant communities, and exceptional quality of life?
The One Dorset Procurement Service (ODPS) is a bold new initiative uniting the procurement functions of Dorset County Hospital, Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust, and University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As part of the Dorset Integrated Care System, ODPS will deliver a single, shared procurement and supply chain service that enhances value, efficiency, and sustainability across the county.
We are seeking an outstanding Director of Procurement to lead this transformation—bringing together three high-performing teams into one cohesive, future-focused service. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new integrated procurement model that will unify strategic and operational procurement, inventory management, and logistics across the system.
You’ll be at the forefront of:
- Driving innovation and transformation
- Embedding sustainability and social value into procurement practices
- Delivering substantial savings and service improvements
- Influencing at the highest levels across the NHS and wider ICS

From the iconic Jurassic Coast and rolling countryside to thriving towns and excellent schools, Dorset is a place where work-life balance truly comes to life. Whether you're into paddleboarding at sunrise, exploring historic villages, or enjoying a vibrant arts scene, Dorset has something for everyone.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring:
- Senior experience in procurement and supply chain leadership
- A proven track record in transformation, innovation, and commercial negotiation
- Deep knowledge of governance, and category management
- The ability to inspire, influence, and lead cultural and operational change
This is your chance to lead a high-impact, system-wide transformation that will improve patient care, support local economic growth, and set a new standard for NHS procurement.
